Assists in developing and executing National Guard Association of the United States Membership Department programs and products, including the association website and marketing campaigns, to promote membership growth and member retention by performing the following duties.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Collaborates and assists in developing and executing a comprehensive annual plan focused on recruitment, engagement, and retention of the National Guard Association of the United States members.
Manages and develops marketing projects.
Developing project timelines based on deadline, content, and restrictions and educating others on the process.
Assigning roles for each project: content curator, designer, printer, distributor, etc.
Supports the National Guard Association of the United States increased awareness programs and events through marketing efforts to establish a General Conference brand and marketing campaign.
Serves as primary marketing support for all association departments by utilizing automated email marketing, direct mail, print materials and other channels as required.
Works cross-departmentally to conceive, plan and execute on-brand organization business and marketing initiatives.
Helps develop, post, and maintain content on the website with the direction of communications department staff and other directorates.
Works in partnership with the executive directors, presidents, and membership points of contact in developing and executing targeted marketing materials by providing graphic design services when needed.
Assists in the shooting and editing of video of the National Guard Association of the United States and National Guard Educational Foundation events and educational efforts.
Curates content from the association and host state to develop the annual conference app while handling edits or changes to the app before and during the General Conference.
Works with other departmental staff to conceive a personal, professional development strategy, including staying current with communications trends and technologies and attending association media and publishing seminars and other communication workshops and training.
Facilitates administrative requests from the National Guard Association of the United States membership, the public, and the media.
Works with the Innovation Working Group to develop new ideas that enhance the association.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public effectively.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should know Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or other programs that can achieve the same or similar results.
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; and two years of related experience and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
