Detailed Job Description Customer Communications:
Works closely with the Marketing and Brand Experience Director and CRM platform vendor to understand and help to architect the marketing automation framework, including lead nurturing and email marketing.
Administers the marketing automation system, including content development, campaign and program design, and optimization.
Partners with marketing team to provide messaging at all touchpoints on the customer journey, ensuring long-term retention of students within a continuous engagement, nurturing, and sales cycle.
Works across departments to understand all the touchpoints and data points which will inform the customer relationship management content, flow and pace.
Makes recommendations to ensure students and prospects are appropriately contacted based on frequency, messaging, and overall experience.
Serves as the email marketing expert with regard to best practices, reputation management, and compliance.
Working closely with the Marketing and Brand Experience Director, creates and executes engaging content that highlights RIT Certified priorities on social media channels.
Identify opportunities for University Communications to align with our message, and proactively liaise with social media colleagues across the university for amplification. Identifies, assesses, responds to, and escalates as appropriate emerging issues or risks that require responses.
Actively listen to social conversation related RIT Certified, and to related employers, industry, and thought leaders, as well as peer providers in general.
Stays current on trends in social media content, and review new platforms and tools that could support RIT Certified goals for audience engagement.
Working closely with the Marketing and Brand Experience Director, assists in content creation for and maintenance of the RIT Certified website, applying metrics-driven and goal-orientated planning.
Help manage content to optimize SEO and SEM results.
Uses Content Management System to perform web edits supporting RIT Certified goals.
Understands how our various systems and platforms work together to create dynamic content, and assist in managing the flow.
Performs regular audits to ensure content appears correctly, with a keen eye for detail, and edit as needed.
Creates compelling, results-oriented content aligned with the RIT Certified brand voice and tone for a variety of platforms including: email marketing, social media, external media, internal communications, and the website.
Participates in developing presentations as needed.
Analytics & Reporting:
Collects and analyzes data on customer engagement and behavior across platforms, and make data-driven decisions and recommendations that inform our tactics or strategy.
Pulls out key findings to help make decisions for improving effectiveness of content marketing plans.

Bachelors degree in Marketing, new media, journalism, communications, journalism or related field
2- 4 years professional experience in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
Experience with marketing automation systems a plus
Stellar writing and editing skills, with keen attention to detail
Ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of RIT Certified in a variety of content channels
Ability to work under pressure and motivation to succeed
Thorough knowledge of all social media platforms
Experience in social media strategy, campaign development, automation, and assessment
Experience creating content for the web and in website management
Experience with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
Attention to detail for precise analysis of data
Team-oriented, flexible, and customer-service-focused
Excellent project management skills and solid understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple initiatives
Time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize work
Provide a portfolio of three written pieces which can include any of the following (preferably one of each):
Social media campaign or posts
Marketing email copy
