The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) simplifies the journey towards excellence for veterinary practices and hospitals by offering accreditation and many resources. What does that really mean? Pet parents who go to AAHA-accredited hospitals can be assured that their care teams are applying best-in-the-industry standards, every time they see Fluffy or Fido. The marketing team ensures that veterinarians and their teams utilize their member and accreditation benefits in order to do that, working with other teams to inform product/service development.
AAHA is seeking a Marketing & Sales Coordinator who will provide marketing and sales enablement support for corporate relations, membership, and education to increase non-dues revenue. The Coordinator will assist in the developing and implementation of all association sales enablement plans, drafting and revising copy and coordinating with graphic design. The Coordinator will manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral for corporate relations, membership, and education marketing: reports, presentations, brochures, flyers, direct mail, newsletters, emails, press releases, website copy, and related materials.

This role is responsible for providing communications support for all association initiatives.
Assist in developing marketing and sales enablement plans
Develop sales deliverables such as PowerPoint presentations, the periodic corporate relations newsletter, quarterly business reports, and more
Assist in translating voice of customer feedback into sales collateral
Research, write, proofread, and edit copy for all communications and marketing
Coordinate with graphic design to accompany marketing and communications
Manage development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral
Work with outside vendors as needed to produce collateral
Support the collection of data for key marketing performance indicators for marketing and communications activities
Manage all media contacts and press releases
Assist in managing corporate communications
Sales or sales enablement experience
Market prospect development: finding leads, sourcing new lists, etc.
Ability to effectively interface with vendors, business partners, and other stakeholders
Understanding of how companies can apply basic marketing key performance indicators to improve their campaigns
Ability to coach team members to present marketing key performance indicators to vendors
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills?
Project management skills
Intermediate knowledge of AP style
Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills, with an emphasis on writing for digital platforms?
Experience using member or customer personas to target specific audiences
Highly driven and results-oriented with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines on time?
Experience working with a variety of marketing and business software including email, CMS, marketing automation, project management, approval software, Microsoft Office, etc.
Some knowledge of HTML and backend web editing using content management software

Education and Experience?(Need to have)
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
2+ years’ experience in communications, marketing, advertising, sales, membership, or related field?
2+ years of sales or sales enablement experience

The American Animal Hospital Association was founded by seven leaders of the veterinary profession in 1933. From its inception, AAHA has focused on promoting high-quality standards for the rapidly evolving sector of small-animal private practice through accreditation and other initiatives. These standards were developed to raise the bar of veterinary excellence and have undergone numerous updates throughout the years, always reflecting current industry standards. AAHA is still the only organization to accredit companion animal veterinary hospitals. To become AAHA accredited, practices undergo regular, comprehensive onsite evaluations by AAHA veterinary experts who evaluate each practice on more than 900 standards of veterinary care. More than 4,500 practice teams (about 15% of veterinary practices in the United States and Canada) are AAHA accredited or pre-accredited.
