The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will assist the sports communications and marketing offices with fan engagement and promotions with an emphasis on communications that facilitate revenue streams. This person will also act as a community liaison for the department including the cultivation of young fans. The position will: Support the communications, marketing, sales and licensing areas of the athletics department to facilitate revenue streams and assist in meeting annual goals. Coordinate and write, edit and publish communications related to ticket promotions and sales including emails, social media posts, and digital advertising. Serve as the primary Sports Information contact for one spring sport and assist with other sports home game operations as needed. Assist with public address script writing and game production with a focus on men’s and women’s basketball home games. Produce graphic design and social media content to support communications, marketing and sales. Coordinate on-court sponsor promotions and fan engagement events (including social media contests) during basketball home games. Responsible for managing the Department's kid's club. Coordinate and supervise student marketing/promotions interns. Assist with planning and management of athletics department special events.
Bachelor's Degree required. Two years of relevant experience working in an athletics marketing and/or communications office or other comparable communications position
