SUMMARY
The Video Marketing Strategist will specialize in creating, producing, and delivering video content that tells the story of Spring Arbor University and supports overall marketing and enrollment goals. As the expert voice for higher education video marketing at SAU, this position oversees all video campaigns and projects, and manages student workers assist in video production and editing. This position will work collaboratively with the entire marketing team to provide creative solutions regarding digital, social, and print campaigns, and ensure that creative materials effectively communicate the brand promise. Additionally, this position is responsible for meeting budget, time, and project scope.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by proper personnel.
- Responsible for planning, filming, and producing videos that will be utilized for web, digital, print, e-mail, and social media marketing
- Develops and maintains processes for acquiring video footage of students, campus, alumni, faculty, staff, and campus events to keep SAU video library up to date
- Manages YouTube channel(s), ensuring metrics are set up to fully utilize the channel(s) for marketing goals
- Measures marketing campaigns that use video to provide insight into optimization for improved effectiveness of future campaigns
- Maintains all video equipment, keeping equipment refreshed and up to date, as well as making suggestions for new purchases
- Oversees all video editing and production, including audio and color correction
- Creates motion graphics to support marketing campaigns and efforts
- Provides direction on stock video, music licensing, and voiceover assets
- Responsible for staying up to date on current trends in video to lead cutting-edge efforts in video campaigns for web, digital, print, email, and social media
- Collaborates with other departments to schedule and produce video content to fill department needs
- Teaches coworkers, student workers, and other departments about best practices in pre-production, production, and post-production to ensure quality branded content across campus
- Creates and oversees video brand standards for the institution, including assets for uniform branding across campus
- Photographs headshots, events, and presentations, as needed
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of Marketing and Communications team, this position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. Serves on committees as deemed appropriate. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution preferred, preferably with a degree in visual communications, video productions, graphic design, advertising, or marketing
- The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills enabling them to build and maintain positive relationships and communications within the university community
- Ability to handle and organize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, all while deadlines, budget, and time constraints
- Proactive, self-motivated, maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy while working well within a face-paced environment
- Candidate must be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition, as well as Davinci Resolve
- Exhibits mastery of DSLR video equipment, Black Magic Cinema cameras and equipment, lighting, drones, gimbals, microphones, and other video equipment
- Significant attention to detail is required
- Must be a team player who is able to work with internal and external constituencies
