The Stanford King Center on Global Development is a Stanford University research center working to improve the lives of the world's poor. Operating under the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), the Stanford King Center catalyzes Stanford's distinctive strengths in global poverty and development research to turn path-breaking research into real-world results. To this end, the King Center supports research initiatives that unite Stanford faculty working on different areas of international development, including big data for development, governance and service delivery in Africa, conflict and polarization, and global productivity and economic growth. The King Center provides hands-on research and experiential learning opportunities for students eager to explore the challenges and opportunities of the developing world, and funds original student research. The Center also sponsors a number of events, including faculty workshops, high-level policy conferences, as well as visiting scholar programs. The Center disseminates findings through working papers, policy notes, and online material.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Stanford King Center on Global Development seeks a Database and Marketing Coordinator to support marketing efforts for the King Center's programs, activities, and events. The Database and Marketing Coordinator will manage the center's contact database for events, supporters, and communications. The Database and Marketing Coordinator will help to create and disseminate event invitations and programs announcements and will update the center's website and social media channels. The Database and Marketing Coordinator will also review data and create reports on the success of outreach efforts to internal and external audiences, and other duties as assigned.
This recruitment is for a full time (100% FTE), one (1) year fixed term role. Extension beyond the initial one (1) year appointment will be based on operational need and available funding.
The successful candidate is a highly motivated self-starter and should thrive on interacting with multiple constituents and supporting a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a friendly and efficient team member to provide informed, coordinated, timely, and proactive support. The ability to foster community with students, faculty, and staff is central to the job. This position reports to the King Center's Events Planner. This is a 100% FTE hybrid position.
CORE DUTIES:
Provide administrative support to marketing team.
Assist with marketing plans/programs to meet business objectives, including coordinating with internal stakeholders.
Draft, edit, and schedule select marketing communications for a variety of channels (i.e., web, print, email, online).
Monitor, track and report marketing program effectiveness.
Review and report post-event/program/campaign data.
Assist in quality control of data and marketing materials.
Support the planning and execution of events.
Support the creation and launch of tools and processes to improve marketing efforts.
Contribute to vendor selection, arrangements, and scheduling.
Coordinate vendor estimates and invoice processing.
Develop an understanding of organization's major programs, services, events, and products.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
