POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant AD for Marketing will be responsible for planning, creating, and executing a marketing plan for all sports to help increase revenue, ticket sales, social media presence, and attendance. The Assistant AD for Marketing will be a critical team player in marketing, creating a gameday atmosphere, increasing the brand, oversee digital media and coordinating community/campus engagement.
The primary function of this position is to coordinate marketing, digital media, special events, and community engagement with the Director of Athletics.
They will assist with overseeing game management for home athletic events, including game presentations, promotional activities, crowd control, and volunteers.
They will supervise, develop, and provide leadership in all areas of marketing, promotions, and community engagement.
They will develop advertising and promotional campaigns to maximize attendance at all athletic events.
Develop a plan to increase engagement and brand awareness through digital media.
They will be expected to attend University and community functions to help promote the institution.
The successful candidate must also be committed to MIAA and NCAA compliance.
Bachelor’s degree with experience in marketing, communications, athletic fundraising, or athletic administration.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
A demonstrated knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a collegiate athletic department.
A proven record in following directives and being responsible for tasks that have been assigned.
Knowledge of NCAA rules pertaining to parents, boosters, and fans.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
