We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations within the Core Diagnostics business located in Lake Forest, IL.
Clinical diagnostic testing provides important information for diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. Abbott Diagnostics is a leader in the core lab diagnostic industry with a focus on transforming healthcare and driving measurably better healthcare performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing marketing operations management and tactical support to the Global Marketing organization, contributing to the growth of the business. This role will enable operational excellence by driving efficiency, process improvements, including Global Marketing operations related to annual marketing planning, performance management dashboards, internal communication tools and planning of internal marketing / collaboration meetings.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Independently develop and drive multiple projects and action plans to accelerate growth. Lead the team through Annual Global Marketing Planning, and help prioritize business strategies, key projects and initiatives for growth that align with business objectives and Core Diagnostics strategic priorities. Support the development of resources and funding recommendations in close collaboration with Finance. Plan and co-ordinate meetings and provide communication updates on marketing planning status and plan outputs to drive execution and meet strategic goals. Identify problems and conceptualize solutions using creativity and innovation.
Effectively influence and manage without authority when working with cross-functional partners as well as senior leaders. Manage and or contribute to any change management required to deploy and institute strategies and operational changes to simplify marketing processes, increase efficiencies and/or quality of output, in collaboration with Global and Area stakeholders.
Maintain intelligence on the market dynamics. Drive accountability by maintaining performance management dashboards that track the progress and performance of key GMO marketing programs against business goals, including process improvement, assumptions package, KPIs/reporting, etc.
Lead communications with Global and Area marketing to communicating learnings and best practices and manages internal meetings including Townhalls, Lunch & Learns, Award & Recognition ceremonies, and other key internal GMO meetings.
Develop and document marketing processes and tools that enable the Global marketing team to operate efficiently and effectively and achieve the strategic goals of the team and the division. Manage the budget for the department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU'LL BRING
Medical Laboratory Sciences or Life Sciences Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in marketing / product management.
Marketing experience should include two or more of the following:
Healthcare product launch, new product development, market assessment, voice of customer market research, sales tools/messaging and/or future trend analysis
Strong cross-functional collaborative teamwork spirits and communication skills
Familiarity with IVD market, industry practices and understanding of the core lab, with emphasis on immunoassays.
High level of comfort with developing, interpreting, and communicating complex information with impactful visualizations and supporting data.
Demonstrated ability of working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization that requires quick response to changing market demands.
Ability to travel globally up to 25% of time dependent on business needs.
Demonstrated career trajectory, industry agility, global aptitude, competencies in project management, leadership, ability to influence without authority and collaborate well with other functions.
MBA or equivalent experience and/or operational management of planning department of functional area
Ability to interface with senior management.
Proven ability to manage simultaneous projects with schedule constraints. Open to change in response to new information and feedback, and ability to work effectively in ambiguous or challenging situations.
Strong analytical skills and understanding of both domestic and international products, structures, and processes and ability to make quick decisions.
Solid understanding of divisional communications, processes, tools, and strategy and effectiveness of marketing communications and events responsibilities.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for Core Diagnostics
