The marketing and communications manager (Talent) is a matrixed position embedded with the Northern Light Health Marketing & Communications team with a solid reporting line to the Northern Light Health vice president and chief marketing & communications officer and matrixed dotted line to the Northern Light Health director of Talent Acquisition and Career Development. This individual serves as an integral member of a strategic multidisciplinary system team dedicated to recruitment, planning, optimization, and marketing and communication.
The marketing and communications manager (Talent) is a creative thinker and self-starter who is responsible for leading the design and implementation of sourcing and recruitment marketing strategies and material to attract and hire qualified employees for clinical and non-clinical roles. Responsibilities include conveying the Northern Light Health brand, promoting the differentiating factors that make Northern Light a great place to work, and deploying modern marketing strategies, including leveraging social media platforms, and hardwiring diversity, equity, inclusion in all recruitment content and tactics (ensuring we are posting and sharing content where most appropriate – i.e., BIPOC sites if reaching into more diverse locals and populations). They will work closely with the Marcom strategy and creative team on a multi-faceted program that aligns recruiting with the brand and community image, public relations, media and social media, web content and management, and ensure job posts include keywords and other schema that search engine bots can crawl for searches and improve overall recruitment search engine optimization (SEO).
Work with Talent and marketing teams to create and update recruitment materials, to include engaging job and event marketing materials advertising
Oversee content for career landing pages and Talent & Diversity intranet portals
Demonstrate solid understanding of how social media platforms work
Ensure engaging content is shared through our channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.)
Work with social media specialist to advance and expand presence and content on various social media platforms
Understand marketing and advertising trends in the healthcare industry
Identify tactics and platforms that are most effective in reaching target audiences
Track, measure, and report on campaign ROI
Participate in strategic planning for existing and future recruitment efforts based on open positions and anticipated needs
Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion is hardwired in all content and images, and in recruitment marketing tactics and strategies
Represent recruiting and talent and diversity on the Marcom team, ensuring a consistently high-quality presentation throughout Northern Light Health recruiting
Create recruitment marketing goals and success metrics to monitor and report status of this data. Responsible for interpreting and presenting data analytics for media and digital properties, as well as using these learnings to make adjustments.
Oversee the creation and execution of recruitment marketing campaigns geared for short-term outcomes with strategic purpose (i.e., hard to fill roles, high volume positions, or brand awareness).
Understand the Northern Light Health brand promise and commitments and align recruiting messages with these values.
Create campaigns that convey the value of working at Northern Light Health that aligns our brand as an employer with the Northern Light Health brand
Partner with Talent team members to create and implement recruitment marketing strategy for hiring events, career fairs, or industry events and act as a subject matter expert for annual event calendar planning
Stay current and forward-thinking on digital marketing products, tools and platforms, and best practices to use within the competitive landscape
A strong background in recruiting, human resources, marketing, media and/or public relations.
Ability to think creatively and problem solve, multitask, and prioritize daily workload. Strong, proven writing experience preferably experience in advertising copy or other creative background.
Five or more years’ experience.
Bachelor’s degree required.

Strong writing skills with previous experience in developing copy for marketing campaigns or journalistic articles
