The School of Information Sciences (SIS) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville seeks a full-time staff member focused on digital and field marketing and recruitment of its undergraduate and graduate programs. The SIS Digital and Field Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the ongoing growth and promotion of the School's degree and certificate programs with the overarching goals of student recruitment and increased brand awareness. The candidate should demonstrate creativity, polished interpersonal communication skills, and ability to collaborate with the director of the School of Information Sciences, directors of the undergraduate and graduate programs, and other administrative staff within the School and across campus to create, implement, and evaluate strategic marketing plans.
Social Media, Website, E-Marketing:
Maintain and grow SIS's social media presence, in collaboration with the communications specialist, via platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn while monitoring and responding to all interactions.
Create, optimize, and manage online advertising campaigns through various third-party ad platforms including Google Ads, Bing, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
Schedule and maintain ad placements, rotations, and adjustments as needed throughout the lifetime of campaigns.
Manage SIS email marketing through Emma.
Assist with maintenance of the SIS general email account and respond to or direct inquiries to appropriate parties.
Manage webpage content targeted to prospective students to ensure the most up-to-date information.
Create and edit video content for YouTube, social media, and websites.
Field Marketing, Recruiting, Print Advertising:
Identify field marketing opportunities, locally and nationally, and travel to events to promote SIS programs.
Design and publish digital and print ads, brochures, fliers, banners, etc.
Identify outlets for print and digital ad campaigns such as magazines, conference programs, newspapers, etc.
Provide support with the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events, including graduation ceremonies, alumni receptions, and others as needed.
