What you’ll be doing...
The Verizon Marketing Activation team identifies key opportunities to build brand awareness, expand markets, drive sales, and put the latest, most powerful technology in customers’ hands. We are looking for talented marketing strategists to help us tell our Brand story – to create a narrative that promotes product innovation and builds customer trust. We are specifically looking for a candidate to help form and execute our strategy to lead on network superiority and 5G.
The Brand Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, launching, and managing strategies, tactics, and marketing programs designed to meet growth, revenue, churn and brand health objectives across the Verizon enterprise. This is a high-profile role working on some of the most exciting, high-priority brand marketing initiatives.
Lead marketing professionals and agencies to develop a brand marketing strategy.
Author comprehensive and focused creative briefs for complex products.
Develop full go-to-market plans to drive business results.
Commission, synthesize, and evaluate research/analytics to continually optimize positioning, inform briefs, and track communication performance.
Work across the organization for stakeholder alignment with business leads, media, consumer insights, and GTM teams.
Work across the organization to monitor, track, and report on the status of 5G partnerships.
Partner with external network claims companies to identify the best network claims for marketing.
Monitor, evaluate, and understand innovative marketing activity within our industry and best in class.
Understand influencer marketing and how to reach micro-segments as well as broader targets.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Six or more years of work experience in Marketing/Advertising.
Willingness to travel to the Basking Ridge office 2 to 3 times a month.
Even better if you have:
Proven experience leading and influencing cross-functional marketing teams to develop 360-degree campaigns.
Proven experience with strategic brand problem-solving.
Ability to distill complex inputs into clear, executive-friendly PowerPoint presentations.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, oral, and written communications skills.
Knowledge of telecommunications fundamentals, architecture, drivers, and industry players. Experience with technology product marketing.
Understanding of business case development and analysis.
Ability to multitask (advance and prioritize many projects simultaneously), work independently, and as an effective team member.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, complete important time-sensitive tasks, adapt quickly to last-minute changes, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proactive approach to marketing and problem-solving.
