Senior Global Marketing Manager, Cardiometabolic

Under minimal supervision, the position of Sr. Global Marketing Manager, Cardiometabolic is responsible for the development and successful execution of both long term and short term strategies for the Cardiometabolic product portfolio. This role, will have direct responsibility for part or all marketing activities including development, management, and execution of strategies and tactical global marketing programs to achieve business plan objectives, goals, and P&L commitments, as well as ongoing business management including analysis, forecasting, and budget management. This position will be considered as a developmental role for individuals seeking more senior leadership positions in Abbott.
Lead annual strategic marketing plan development including analysis, recommendations impact analysis and budgeting. Presentation of proposed strategies for annul and long term growth to senior leadership.
Understand global trends, market dynamics and competition (health care professional, retail health, consumer/patient, managed care organizations, government, CMS, industry, competitive, adjacent categories). Develop positioning and value messages. Provide commercial organizations with appropriate positioning and tools to differentiate our offerings versus competition and convey value propositions effectively.
Global leadership for coordination of measurement and continuous improvement in cardiometabolic customer experience and loyalty
Lead market access, clinical and scientific affairs, colleagues in the development and execution of market development that raise awareness, KOL advocacy and drive market access for the implementation of POC testing with the Afinion,and LDX platforms.
Global leadership, planning, execution and budgeting for cardiometabolic peer to peer medical education platform
Coordinate with GBU and regional marketing counterparts to drive continuous improvement in marketing approach, processes, program and launch execution.
Work with clinical counterparts within the BU to prioritize strategic needs for post-market studies to further develop the market. Partner with clinical counterparts to drive execution and completion of such projects through to publication as applicable.
Lead market research to generate stakeholder insights and identify desired unmet needs. Collaborate with global product managers and upstream marketing colleagues to support development of long term portfolio pipeline strategy development.
Accommodates flexible and non-standard work schedule, work setting and travel to permit for collaboration with global work teams
Carry out duties in compliance with established business policies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
4-year College or university degree preferably in the sciences or marketing. Advanced degrees preferred.
5- 7 years in strategic marketing and market development within large healthcare, diagnostics or medical device organization.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic industry, with proven track record of success in strategic planning and execution.
Proven self-starter who works with minimal guidance exhibiting initiative and a mindset to continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams from idea to launch
Demonstrated strength in thought leadership, written, and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interact directly with leadership to drive strategy and investment decisions
Excellent analytical skills
Familiarity with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, point-of-care testing, and an understanding of sales is highly desirable
