The Stanford MBA Admissions office strives each year to attract, recruit, select, and enroll the most promising MBA students from around the world and from every background.
In this role, you will help to enable our mission by disseminating information via marketing communications and content; engaging prospects, applicants, and admitted students; and building community through a variety of channels (e.g., web, newsletter, email, video, social media, etc.). Under the guidance of the MBA Admissions Director of Marketing, you will participate in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to meet business objectives, and collaborate with multiple teams and departments, as well as with students and alumni. You will manage the communication and brand strategy for MBA Admissions, ensuring consistent tone, messaging, and look and feel.
With a focus on continuous improvement, you will also have an eye on market research, trends, and internal analytics to refine and optimize our marketing and communications initiatives.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Developing and managing the communication and brand strategy for MBA Admissions across multiple channels, ensuring consistent tone, messaging, and look and feel
Significant web authoring to external and internal sites, including drafting and wireframing content
Developing and executing digital newsletters and/or various email campaigns
Overseeing design and production of marketing materials from inception to deployment
Coordinating with other team members and vendors on paid social media campaigns as well as facilitating organic social media opportunities like Instagram student take-overs
Heavy focus on content strategy and creation (e.g., videos, podcasts, articles, interviews, student testimonials)
Managing marketing metrics dashboard and analytics, including tracking, reporting, and insights
Conducting market research, including competitive benchmarking and analyzing campaign effectiveness to inform strategic decisions and customer targeting
Liaising with students and alumni, collaborating with other departments, and potentially managing vendors
Managing project budgets and coordinating invoice processing
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Bachelor's degree and five years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including copywriting and/or editorial experience
Basic knowledge of graphic and general web design
Experience in web page authoring using content management systems, especially Drupa
Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to drive cross-functional groups toward a common goal
Ability to create and promote engaging content across numerous channels (web, videos, newsletters, email campaigns, social media, etc.)
Experience with market research and strong data analysis skills
In addition, our preferred requirements include:
Working knowledge of Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) including for video, Google Analytics, and Zoom
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, web accessibility standards, video editing, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator
Strong attention to detail
