Description: The Graduate Assistant for Marketing & Fan Engagement provides leadership and oversight for Concordia University Irvine's Athletics marketing functions, game day experiences and fan engagement. Those responsibilities include directing and coordinating Athletics marketing, fan experience, merchandising, community relations and CUI's apparel partners. This position will assist with experiences and attendance at CUI athletic events and successfully enhance the Eagle's brand. Successful execution of this role will result in increased support for CUI Athletics' teams, improved overall attendance at events and increased school spirit. This position will report directly to the Director of Athletics.
This position is responsible for oversight, supervision and direction of the Marketing and Communications areas including in-game marketing & promotions, sports information, video services, graphic design and engaging new partnerships to enhance in game promotions and fan experience. Position is responsible for development and execution of strategic plan implementation necessary to advance the Marketing and Communications unit to achieve department objectives to move CUI's mission forward. This person will ensure all digital and print marketing content and collateral, and videoboard and in-game elements are visually and thematically consistent with departmental and university brand standards.
The graduate assistant for Marketing & Fan Engagement will play an integral role in developing, coordinating and executing a comprehensive strategic plan for CUI Athletics to increase ticket sales, drive attendance and create a memorable and exciting fan experience while fostering innovative and collaborative efforts to engage students, staff, alumni sponsor, donors and prospective fans of Eagle Athletics.
Work as game-day director to ensure proper implantation of new strategies and ensure the consistency of CUI's brand is being communicated. This role could act as the CUI Administrator on duty to gain further expertise in Athletics Admin responsibility at and of the 19 varsity and 5 club sporting events. This position(s) will work in conjunction with Resident life, Dean of Students, student body leadership, student life and athletics to create and enhance campus culture through promotional activities, social media, and fan engagement on campus and within our community.
Understanding and experience in collegiate athletics.
Abilities to utilize social media

Various forms of content creation, including Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
