About the Opportunity: The Associate Director of Performance Marketing manages the comprehensive digital marketing strategy for the Enrollment Management team. In partnership with marketing leadership, he/she will lead omnichannel efforts across the funnel to support annual enrollment goals and increase engagement with target audiences for Northeastern University degree programs. The Associate Director will oversee all digital channels for the unit and lead the optimization of those strategies against well-defined measurement framework to contribute to increases in leads, applications, and new enrolled students for the University.
The Associate Director will manage and motivate a team of marketing experts who own and manage channels, campaigns, and initiatives related to the overarching demand generation and conversion strategy. He/She will also work closely with the entire enrollment management function (program and regional marketing, creative, marketing technology, analytics, and admissions teams) to drive alignment across efforts, manage priorities, and define reporting and analysis in support of the marketing strategy.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leads digital marketing strategy for enrollment marketing team with the goal of driving qualified lead generation and enrollment for Northeastern University degree programs.
Oversees the marketing team who manages the execution and optimization of performance marketing channels and initiates including paid media, web and digital efforts, email marketing, loyalty marketing, and event marketing.
Leads marketing measurement strategy against projected results and drives ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns across the funnel to increase effectiveness of key initiatives and campaigns over time.
Owns the relationships with key agency partners and vendors who execute digital marketing efforts for the University including leading regular meetings, monitoring performance of the agency, and appropriating liaising between the agency and other partner marketing teams.
Leverages marketing tools, systems, and platforms to execute and measure campaign effectiveness.
Partners with marketing leadership to define and oversee annual marketing budgets. Tracks and monitors pacing and ensure timely processing of invoices and contracts for marketing expenses.
8-10 years of marketing campaign strategy oversight and management
Direct experience and oversight of digital marketing channels, both paid and unpaid sources including search, social, email, mobile, media, video and content marketing.
At least 3 years of direct experience building marketing strategies and annual plans
Highly skilled in leveraging analytics to drive decision making across integrated media plans
Expert collaboration skills, with internal and external stakeholders
Experience working at a digital marketing agency or in-house digital marketing team preferred
Experience working with marketing technology and CRM system, Marketo and Salesforce preferred
Bachelor's degree required
Salary Grade: 12
