The successful candidate will be a member of the Dog Aging Project Biobank team, at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. The Dog Aging Project is an innovative initiative that brings together a collaborative, interdisciplinary, nationwide team of researchers to carry out the most ambitious canine science health study in the world, to improve our understanding of the aging process in both dogs and humans. The Biobank Marketing Specialist serves as the primary lead on marketing and communications for the Dog Aging Project (DAP) Biobank at Cornell University and will work in close partnership with the team leading the Cornell Veterinary Biobank (CVB), where the DAP biobank is located. The CVB is an ISO 20387 accredited resource at the College of Veterinary Medicine, providing biological material and associated data to the research community worldwide. Employees of the DAP Biobank must adhere to the CVB's Quality Assurance system, confidentiality statement, standard operating procedures, and organizational policies. Employees are expected to meet all of the Cornell University Staff Skills for Success, which are essential for individual and organizational success. Note: This is a part-time position, up to 19 hours per week. In addition, this position is located in Ithaca, New York. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the University's decision to limit the number of on-campus employees, the successful applicant will be asked to perform this role remotely at a location of their choice in the United States for a limited time, only until the University can permit more employees to work on campus. Once the University permits more employees to work on campus, the successful applicant may be expected, at some point, to work on the Ithaca campus, although they may be permitted perform a portion of their work remotely. The New York Convenience of employer guidelines require New York State individual tax reporting and withholdings for this position. Additional individual state income tax filings may also be required if working temporarily outside New York State.
