Tilton’s Director of Marketing and Communications will bring our school’s agile spirit and innovative program to life as an entirely new brand. Though Tilton is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year, we’re just getting started bringing our unique program to the marketplace. We seek a Director who can help the school develop and share its voice and perspective—even as we find new ways to communicate with students, parents, alumni, employees, and friends of the institution.
We seek an individual with a broad mindset, unafraid to challenge pre-existing patterns in our industry and willing to be hands-on in bringing new creative to market. Partnered with an in-house designer, a photo/video specialist, and a Head of School who know the importance of crisp, distinctive communications, the Director will lead concept development, provide creative direction, and deliver copy to marketing efforts. Embedded in campus life, the Director will gather stories and content across the entire school community and will serve as the primary manager for the school’s website, e-newsletters, and social media platforms as well. Lastly, the Director will assist the entire leadership team in unlocking the powerful potential of clear documentation in building efficiency and capacity at the school.
A member of the school’s senior leadership team, the Director of Marketing and Communications reports to the Head of School.

Tilton School, founded in 1845, is an independent college preparatory boarding and day school located in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region with an enrollment of 257 boys and girls in grades nine through postgraduate. Our mission is to challenge students to embrace and navigate a world marked by diversity and change. Central to Tilton School’s culture is a belief in the “power of potential.” In a close-knit community of students, faculty, staff, and administration, Tilton’s unique educational program challenges students to discover, develop and advance their personal strengths and passions, while gaining the skills, knowledge, and values essential to personal and professional success. Students are challenged in all facets of life on campus with appropriately high standards and a rigorous curriculum requiring them to be active participants. Class sizes are small, averaging 12 students, with a student-faculty ratio of 6 to 1. Students are encouraged to reach their full potential outside of the classroom through strong programs in athletics, arts, theater, extracurricular offerings, and student leadership positions. Tilton School’s 160-acre campus includes a new state-of-the-art academic building, a new senior girls’ dormitory, and extensive athletic facilities.
