Position reports to Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications in planning and executing marketing and communications initiatives for Washington University Physicians, the clinical practice of the School of Medicine.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promotes and protects the reputation of Washington University Physicians through digital, print and interpersonal communications and marketing.
Manages and maintains Physicians.wustl.edu, the overarching web presence for all Washington University clinical faculty physicians.
Designs and produces marketing materials, such as physician bios, brochures, sell sheets, patient education and promotional pieces.
Creates content for and maintains Washington University Physicians social media presence, including Facebook, YouTube and other channels.
Monitors and responds to conversations about the clinical practice on social media channels.
Cultivates relationships with hospital partners for effective collaboration.
Writes, edits and distributes timely and sometimes urgent communication to clinical faculty and staff.
Develops and maintains relationships with key personnel in clinical departments across the School of Medicine to develop goals and support initiatives.
Provides support and guidance for departments as they maintain clinical service line web sites and social media accounts.
Works with vendors to obtain quotes for print, digital and promotional item projects.
Provides coordination and marketing support for special events; available to work events as needed outside of normal business hours.
Attends and coordinates photo shoots as projects require.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field and a minimum of two years of experience.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign; Photoshop; Illustrator).
Extensive familiarity with social networks (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and emerging technologies (including mobile), internet culture and etiquette.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks of varying degrees of complexity and to work well as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
At least two years of experience in a health care setting.
The hiring range for this position is $47,985 - $61,193 annually.
