Mayzo, Inc. is seeking a Director of Technical Marketing to join our professional team. This hands-on individual contributor position requires both chemical product technical knowledge and expertise in strategic marketing. In our collaborative and team-based culture, the Director of Technical Marketing will work closely with other professionals involved in sales, operations, quality control, and supply chain.

Currently, we are considering only LOCAL NORTH ATLANTA CANDIDATES. This opportunity is located at our company headquarters in the John's Creek / Suwanee, Georgia area with office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended hours may be required for this position due to international time zone differences.
Details of the job:
Manage Mayzo’s product lines and be our in-house expert on products and applications.
Investigate and understand existing specialty products used at existing Mayzo customers. Package this technology and promote to customers (existing and new).
Develop a technical mastery of customer applications, products, additives used, and manufacturing methods employed.
Participate in strategic account reviews and provide individualized technical recommendations and ideas for growth based on this mastery.
Use Mayzo’s stage gate process to personally own several inbound growth projects.
Develop and provide product / market / application training to customers and sales team as needed.
Support ad-hoc sales requests including customer travel, presentations, project investigations, etc.
Be the technical face of Mayzo within industry trade conferences.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, chemistry, or engineering
At least 15 years of work experience in a plastic processing industry
Knowledge of plastic additives and plastic additive formulations
Deep understanding of stabilizer selection and use
Expertise in project management
Expertise in process improvement, analysis, wholistic thinking, and systematic problem-solving
Expertise using Microsoft Office (especially Excel), as well as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
The highest of ethical standards and personal integrity
Well-developed organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Effective interpersonal skills, including listening and communication skills
An objective, strong, and reasonable approach to dealing with others
A versatile multitasker who can respond to shifting priorities with minimal support from manager
Common sense and consistently good judgment in decision-making
A collaborative team player who can also take ownership of tasks and work independently
