JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Marketing Associate, Intermediate Client Service Representative

DEPARTMENT: New Business/Client Service
The Marketing Associate position for the North American territory will be a generalist role focusing on sales and general client support. The role will also include management responsibilities for ongoing RFP, Database and client and consultant questionnaires across the combined FIS Group/PIA businesses.
The position will also require general administrative support for Head of Sales and Marketing and senior relationship management personnel.
Sales & Marketing Support
Accountable for new business support within the North American market and the support of ongoing management of prospects/prospect requests and consultants/consultant requests. Provide informational consultant coverage support. Work with Client Service Managers to attain buy ratings on all FIS and PIA strategies with the goal to improve search win activity. Responsible to support the SVP of Sales & Marketing with certain aspects of the Sales process:
Review and populate RFPs and databases prior to submission.
Work with Legal, Client Support and Risk to ensure the timely response of requests.
Assist in coordination of strategic new business projects with consultant/prospects, including research, facilitate set-up of new meetings and presentation preparation.
Maintain an understanding of each of FIS and PIA’s product strengths and weaknesses and apply that knowledge in written and verbal form to prospects and consultants.
Maintain accurate pipeline reporting in conjunction with CRM system (Salesforce).
Manage distribution of white papers and invites to client/prospect events.
Monthly/quarterly distribution of FIS and PIA publications (fund factsheets, commentary, whitepapers) to mass consultant distribution lists and relevant prospects. Maintenance of consultant and prospect distribution lists.
Provide ongoing communications internally about consultant and prospect perceptions to ensure awareness of efforts
Responsible for facilitating ongoing requests associated with assigned clients.
Responsible for content of review book preparation, meeting preparation, phone, email, and informational requests.
Work with Client Support, Risk and RFP Groups to ensure the timely response of requests. Review all requests for accuracy and timely distribution.
Act as liaison between clients, consultants and prospects, and portfolio team to facilitate requests for information regarding investment strategy.
Knowledge: The candidate should understand the financial markets generally and the institutional asset management business specifically. Must be self-motivated and strategic.
Technical Skills: Microsoft office applications and other industry software. Must have experience with Salesforce. Should possess an ability to learn and actively use other applications as required.
Competencies: The candidate must be very responsive and keen to act as the “client advocate”. Strong interpersonal and team management skills with a keen attention to detail are critical to success. Comfortable dealing with financial data. Must work effectively with other groups in the organization. Very organized.
