Job Description POSITION SUMMARY With oversight by channel management, the London-based Associate Marketing Manager forms and deepens relationships with internal business partners to deliver marketing programs that help ensure client satisfaction and increase assets under management. Responsible for project management of multiple mid-sized programs and/or promotional efforts resulting in the development of strategically sound targeted marketing assets. This role will be heavily involved with the Italian business, although will also require flexibility to support other European and Lat-Am markets.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Execute the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns. Collaborate with Boston-based MarCom and other Global Marketing colleagues to initiate and successfully execute a variety of project types. Contribute to the successful execution of MFS-hosted and industry-sponsored events overseeing agendas, invitations, presentations, signage and other supporting collateral as needed. Perform post-event evaluation.
Responsible to understand regional Wholesale markets and products, related marketing and sales goals, and MFS' disciplines and investment philosophy. Translate business goals into marketing tactics across multiple forms of media including PR, print, digital, etc. Coordinate local content placement activities utilizing social media platforms, regional publications, partner landing pages and events. Provide clear direction and input and proactively manage stakeholders to enable streamlined review cycles throughout all projects. Guide project teams to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Foster strong business partnerships to ensure programs are planned and executed on time, and on budget. Work closely with the Boston-based MFSI Marketing team and Non US Retail sales team and broader MFS groups such as product, compliance and legal to achieve objectives. Facilitate ongoing data mining and business analysis in support of Wholesale objectives-leverage key learning to inform marketing plans and deliverables.
Evaluate metrics and provide insights on marketing program performance to ensure accuracy, timeliness and consistency of work requests; provide research assistance, including searching for relevant competitor information on specific topics. Demonstrate understanding of brand guidelines as well as how to apply them across assigned areas and marketing deliverables. Support the maintenance and improvement of presentation materials, as needed. Oversee inventory of literature, and assist with the creation of new sales literature ensuring lesser-used and/or obsolete pieces are phased out and/or replaced with more contemporary, compelling material. Provide support to key business partners by responding to requests and addressing concerns in a timely, professional manner-building trusting, valued relationships that result in client satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree combined with experience in marketing, sales and/or finance preferably within financial services or related industry. Knowledge of financial products, investment techniques and strategies. Utilize data analytics, mining for insights, and application of key learning to influence channel marketing strategies and decision making. Customer-service focus with strong problem-solving skills and solutions orientation. Organized self-starter who can work independently, demonstrating attention to detail and ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously. Ability to operate effectively under pressure-shifting priorities in response to changing business demands while adhering to stated project deadlines. Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate with MFS corporate, Global Marketing, and Sales colleagues at all levels. Experience working with creative service and/or communications teams and processes to develop sales and marketing support materials. Willingness to travel as needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Technical aptitude including workflow, CRM, marketing automation and design, as appropriate. Fluency in English, Spanish and/or Italian.
