Reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, the Director of Global Brand and Corporate Marketing leads corporate marketing and branding in the five regions where IHI works and assists with marketing strategy and positioning related to all areas of the business.
IHI Brand and IP Management
Oversee the ongoing position and reputation for IHI in the global marketplace by building recognition for the IHI brand and protecting its use.
Ensure that sustainable revenue strategies are built into all IHI contracts where the client stands to benefit from the IHI brand to gain recognition, credibility, and exposure to the quality leader market.
Serve as a resource for content, business, and regional leaders who are looking to build agreements with organizations that will use the IHI brand, IHI experts, and/or IHI intellectual property.
Advise on projects and partnerships where IHI brand is one among multiple brands and suggest strategies to both maintain brand and spread awareness.
Work cooperatively on the development and maintenance of brand standards and usage guidelines. Manage access to brand assets.
Periodically, test the recognition of the IHI brand, monitor the reputation, and assess the credibility of IHI's expertise in various content areas across the globe, as funds allow.
Develop, refine, and distribute high-level IHI messages and IHI positioning. Ensure that key corporate materials are produced/updated using this language.
Lead and support corporate marketing efforts to position and raise awareness about IHI across the globe through development of corporate marketing plan and corporate marketing activities, which may include:
Helping to clearly articulate IHI's capabilities in different regions and putting together marketing/communications plans to advance IHI awareness in these regions. Serve as key MarComm contact with regional teammates.
Demand-generation activities and tactics (e.g. producing collateral and electronic materials like interactive brochures, using paid and organic social media, generating and administering email campaigns, creating and placing advertising, including display and paid search, working cross-functionally to produce content marketing pieces)
Working cross-functionally to update IHI written style guides to be culturally appropriate in terms of language, voice, and tone in each region where we work
Serve as a marketing resource who can easily be deployed on projects or programs.
Marketing Operations and Team Management:
Assist the marketing team with marketing operations projects including resourcing and process improvement efforts, as assigned.
Lead/supervise members of the Creative Services Team, including the Graphic Designer Project Manager (who oversees the Graphic Design and Production Coordinator). Oversee individual professional growth and development of team members.
Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The successful candidate will have a rich mix of many of the following skills and abilities:
Strong strategic thinker skilled in marketing strategy and execution
Experience with content management in global, corporate campaigns both creative and content direction and strong social media experience
Good connector ability to bridge concepts and language across programs and teams, and with the needs of the audience in mind
Experience in attracting new audiences
Proven capabilities maximizing web and social media for optimal impact and expertly integrating those channels with more traditional channels
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Highly developed writing skills
Extremely collaborative and collegial with highly refined team skills recognized in previous positions as a strong team member
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Energetic, motivated, creative, and resourceful
Willingness to pitch in when necessary at all task levels
Minimum of 7 years of experience required in a global corporate marketing role
Bachelor's degree required
Experience in staff supervision requested
Master's Degree strongly preferred, with concentration in Communications, Marketing, or Management
International experience and language skills preferred
Experience with Hubspot a huge plus
Past agency experience a plus
Familiarity with graphic design software and project software a plus
Proficiency with office systems and computers, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Must have a passion for IHI's mission and mission-driven approach
Health care market expertise strongly preferred but not required as long as the skills to build that knowledge quickly are evident
