AVaStar’s Sales and Marketing Manager designs marketing plans and sells AVaStar to prospects. In this role, the Sales and Marketing Manager oversees and delivers all aspects of marketing (for example, trade shows, press releases, public relations, data mining, pro-active email outreach campaigns, reactive responses to website visits, etc.).
In the sales role, the position is responsible for filling the sales funnel, managing the prospect’s experience, developing proposals and bringing the business in with a signed contract. The position also tracks and manages all sales-related data and produces regular reports on activity, obstacles, opportunities and successes.

The company is looking for its first Sales and Marketing Manager. Achieves sales traction through client acquisition.
Accomplishes business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities; develops and implements sales plans.
Manages marketing activity such as public relations, press releases, authoring success stories as case studies and white papers, outbound email campaigns, responsive reaction campaigns to website visits, trade show appearances, advertorial campaigns, etc.
Designs and implements response campaign to trade show prospects who have visited the AVaStar trade show booth.
Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs.
Develops comprehensive proposals for services with the assistance of AVS/EMD principals and consultants.
Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and client-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying client requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
Networks with and sustains rapport with client contacts to broaden the depth of connection within client’s account, always preparing for a change in leadership within the account that might jeopardize the ongoing relationship.
Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Protects company and client value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing monthly and annual budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Determines forecasting and develops monthly and annual sales quotas; monitors costs, competition, supply, and demand.
Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
High School diploma or GED required, college degree in Marketing or related preferred
Experience in the Audiovisual (AV) or related industry
Previous outside sales experience is required
Knowledge and Skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision, highly motivated, accountable for success
Proven ability to identify and qualify prospects; ideal candidate will have experience selling technology in the hospitality industry
Strong selling skills and understanding of both marketing and sales strategies and concepts; creative in approach to outreach
Ability to work on multiple projects, deliverables and tasks and meet deadlines
Customer-focused with a positive and cooperative attitude; ability to develop and maintain client relationships
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
Effective organizational and time management skills
Excellent negotiating skills
Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is preferred
Previous experience with Salesforce is preferred
