Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Communications and Marketing Specialist within the OneSource Faculty and Staff Resource Center (OneSource FSRC). This position is responsible for managing all marketing initiatives as well as internal and external communications for the OneSource FSRC.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Develops and executes a strategic marketing and communications strategy that resonates with key stakeholders and articulates value proposition of the OneSource FSRC.
Coordinates and administers the annual marketing and communications budget with OneSource FSRC leadership.
Develops, manages and maintains internal and external communications for the FSRC.
Brainstorms, implements, monitors and evaluates communications strategy, including advertising, promotions, and public relations to support marketing objectives and maximize positive exposure.
Manages OneSource FSRC website content and updates to ensure fresh content, current information, graphics and links.
Assists in the creation and editing of educational and promotional brochures and pamphlets.
Designs layout forms, letters, calendars, newsletters and other internal and external marketing materials.
Assists in the development of direct mail marketing correspondence; generate and/or assesses mailing lists for accuracy and effectiveness.
Manages the depth and breadth of OneSource FSRC’s digital media presence; ensuring messaging is aligned across all media platforms.
Creates, fosters and maintains a collaborative, innovative and customer-focused team culture.
Supports employee engagement and development initiatives for OneSource FSRC employees to enhance job satisfaction and morale.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications or public relations from an accredited college or university.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
Must possess strong writing skills and the ability to create content for the organizations' websites and other communication mediums.
Strong attention to detail as well as business copy-writing standards.
Demonstrated proof-reading and editing abilities.
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
Ability to apply sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information.
Ability to operate successfully and multitask in a fast paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Master's degree in business, marketing, communications or public relations from an accredited college or university.
4-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations with demonstrated success.
