POSITION SUMMARY The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for a range of internal and external marketing and communications functions with a focus on content marketing, inbound marketing, publications, creative direction and graphic design. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment with multiple creative products, possess the ability to communicate effectively, diplomatically, and with confidence with all constituents, be a skilled writer, and be familiar with the demands of print, video, web, digital marketing and social media. Pivotal to this role is connecting with people from across the Galloway community in order to collect, curate and create engaging original content.
PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan through collaboration across departments and levels.
Develop an inbound marketing plan to attract audiences to the website and support admissions, retention, development and school initiatives.
Team with digital communications, public relations and digital content specialists to craft the Galloway story.
Collaborate with Admissions and Development to develop and execute strategies and tactics designed to support enrollment, donor engagement and fundraising initiatives.
Responsible for design, production, and editorial direction of all school print publications including the Galloway Magazine, materials for admissions, annual fund and development.
Provide graphic, printing, branding and creative support for various departments and school wide events.
Coordinate outside creative resources including designers, writers, and other agency personnel.
Maintain the consistency of the Galloway brand across departments and oversee and maintain the school’s style guide.
Evaluate best practices to develop strategies and tactics for communicating with internal audiences. This includes the web portal, email communications and newsletters.
Manage advertising buys with local publications, including developing designs for submission.
Manage and develop outdoor signage for the school including the West Wieuca Road banner, campus directional signage and athletics complex signage.
Develop and manage Galloway’s emergency and crisis communication plan.
Attend meetings, on/off-campus events, and maintain interaction with the day-to-day life of the school.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Education and Experience: BS/BA degree or equivalent working experience with a background in marketing, journalism, English, communications, or equivalent with demonstrated ability in marketing and content creation and effective use of a wide range of media and technology, especially interactive and web-based programming.
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years’ experience and familiarity with independent schools and/or non-profits
Disposition: A proactive, flexible, go-getter with a passion for crafting stories using superior skills in writing and editing including the ability to adopt Galloway’s style, tone, and voice for various audiences, demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with moving parts.
